Notoriety: One of the best female surfers on the ASP world surfing tour.  She is involved in designing Rip Curl bikinis as well as the Sweet Cheeks underwear company.

Born: March 5, 1990 in Kauai, Hawaii

About: Alana Blanchard lives on a small Island off Hawaii and has been surfing since she was a little child.  Her father introduced her to the sport at a young age but she didn’t really start loving the surfing sensation until she was 9 years old.  In 2005 she started to make some moves in the female surfing world with two first place finishes and a 3rd.  This propelled her quickly up the ranks prompting invites to the Bells Beach Championship as well as the Pipeline Championship.  Alana Blanchard is in fact close friends with Bethany Hamilton and was there the day the tiger shark bit her friends arm off.  They are still friends to this day.
